We started our trip after I got home from work on Wednesday morning. The drive went quickly...but of course our son and I slept for much of it. What a great feeling to open my eyes and see the Borgata looming in front of us. Checked in quickly via the black-card line and went up to settle into the room. David (2 yr. old son) and I stayed in the room while Mark went to play some VP. A while later Mark was back to the room having turned $25 bonus dollars into $120 real ones...nice start. I told him to go play for a bit more since David and I were busy coloring...lol
We headed down to go to the buffet for dinner a while later. The buffet was great as usual. David just loves being out for dinner. He's very sociable....as we ride down in the elevator he says "hi" to everyone that gets on and "bye bye" to them as they leave. As the elevator gets to the main floor he repeats after the automated voice "casino". Yes, he is the official greeter of the Borgata elevators.
A while after dinner David and I went to head to bed while Mark played some more VP with no big wins. I'm not sure when Mark came to the room, but I had the alarm set for 2 am so that I could get up to play later after finally getting some good sleep. At 2 am (daytime for me) I headed down to play 9/6 $1 JOB...many, many quads, full-houses, and flushes. I ended up playing from 2 am to 7 am then went up to see if they were up yet. The "boys" woke around 8 am and we went for breakfast.
After breakfast the plan for the day was to go to the boardwalk and to see the aquarium. David loved the aquarium. There is a "touch tank" where you can touch the crabs. He particularly like the horshoe crabs. After a fun morning out we went back and had a light lunch of yogurt and salad from Risi Bisi. David and I had a nap while Mark played some more. At this point Mark had gotten two quads total since arriving. I had 14 in my session the night before. I am always told by friends that I get too many quads...lol I really have no explanation for it. If anything, Mark plays closer to perfect strategy than I do.
In the evening we went to Pickles Deli at Bally's for dinner. The service was excellent - fast and friendly. The reuben was huge and delicious. Mark and David shared turkey with all the extras. We finished dinner at 7:05 and realized that we had just missed the fountain show at the Pier. The next one would be at 8. Mark wanted to let David run on the boardwalk and sent me off to play at Bally's for a short time while we waited for the fountain show. I went directly to the 9/6 triple-play JOB $1 machines in the high-limit area. I started with $20 and only began by playing $1/line - two-lines. After a couple of quick full-houses and flushes I had built up to $45 and decided to hit a few full-pay hands. I got a full-house for $45 on the first hand. Two or three hands later I got dealt....88A88. Woooohooo - a deal quad on triple-play for $375. At this point I cashed out $500 from my original $20 and left to meet the boys.
The fountain show at the Pier was very good. I was a little disappointed to find they had changed the music. I really like the show set to the song "fever", but it was still great to watch and David loved it.
Thursday night was almost exactly like Wednesday...I put David to bed and had a nap. I got up later when Mark was back and spent the rest of the night up playing. The next morning we had a great breakfast and headed to the boardwalk so David could have one last time feeding the gulls before we left.
Overall we had a wonderful, relaxing visit. Didn't come home with any more than we went with...but got lots of play and earned $218 slot dollars for next time. In the end Mark got 4 quads and I got 22 (still no explanation for this...lol).
Can't wait for another visit.
Terri

When are you returning to play them?
